With this campaign, The North Face asked people to reconsider.
To launch The North Face’s new rain jacket Apex Flex, we partnered with Spotify and the band White Denim to create the first weather triggered song release — a new track you can only listen to when it's raining.
Using real-time weather data, we created a special page where the song could only be streamed if you were in a location where it currently was raining.
Austin band White Denim's track "No Nee Ta Slode Aln" from their upcoming album "Stiff" was selected for the rain-release. At SXSW 2017 the band did a special performance at the Fader Fort that through lights, visuals, and mist virtually put you at the center of a storm
